Prospecting model and metallogenic prediction for Dongwan−Jiuzhanggou Gold Orefield

  • The Dongwan−Jiuzhanggou Gold Orefield is located in the polymetallic metallogenic belt of the Xiong’er Mountains on the southern margin of the North China Platform. To explore the prospecting model of the Dongwan−Jiuzhanggou Gold Orefield, a combined geophysical and geochemical exploration approach was employed. Geophysical characteristics indicate that the elevation ranges of −100 to 100 m and −600 to −200 m are areas of high polarization anomalies, which are closely related to metallogenesis. The geochemical characteristics indicate that at elevations of 100 to 380 m, the primary halo strip features of the orebody are quite distinct, exhibiting significant reverse strip characteristics. At an elevation of 100 m, strong forehalo and middle halo features are evident, suggesting a high potential for downward extension of the orebody below this elevation. By combining geophysical and geochemical exploration methods, two predictive target areas have been delineated, providing new insights for exploration in similar surrounding deposits.
