Manual detection and man-intervened control account for much of the interface detection and process control in the conventional tailings deep cone thickening process.The submersible ultrasound interfacial device and PCS system are decided for the smart monitoring of the tailings deep cone thickening process in Wushan Copper-Molybdenum Mine.The installation,data processing,and control strategy are introduced.The technology is successfully applied in the Wushan Copper-Molybdenum Mine,which further optimizes the process index of the tailings deep cone thickening process,avoids the accidents of deep cone going cloudy and rake seizure,and lowers the flocculant consumption for unit dry ore,saving flocculant dry ore amount by 1 831.2 kg per month and achieving good economic and social benefits.
