Abstract:

The Chang’an Gold Deposit is located in the southern section of Ailao Mountain,in the central part of the Jinping-Daping Au-Pb-Zn geochemical anomaly. The ore body is controlled mainly by the regional main fault F5 and the branch fault F6,with controlling factors such as tectonics, magmatic rocks, and formations.By comparing with typical gold deposits in the region with similar metallogenic characteristics,it is believed that the deep part of the Chang’an Gold District has good prospecting potential.Through drilling and excavation projects to verify the areas with good prospecting potential in the deep part, the results show the discovery of altered diabase-type gold deposits, altered detrital rock-type,sandy dolomite-type,and tectonic breccia-type lead-zinc-silver ore bodies in the deep part of the mining area. The newly discovered+controlled+inferred ore quantity is 467 000 t,with a gold metal quantity of 1 824 kg and an average gold grade of 3.90×10-6.The prospecting effect is good and can provide support for further prospecting.
