Gayahedonggou Copper-Nickel Deposit is located in East Kunlun orogenic belt adjacent to Great Middle Kunlun Fracture and bears favorable ore-forming geological conditions.4 magnesian ferrous-super magnesian ferrous rock mass bodies are found in the district that mainly include peridotite,pyroxenite,gabbro,pyroxene peridotite,peridotite,peridotite tremolite and anorthosite.In magnesian ferrous-super magnesian ferrous rock mass bodies Ⅰ,Ⅱand Ⅳ,copper-nickel ore bodies are found,peridotite and pyroxenite mainly included followed by peridotite.Based on the geological,geochemical and geophysical characteristics analysis,and the comparison between the typical deposits from the same orogenic belt,it is considered that the district has favorable conditions for magmatic copper-nickel ore bodies prospecting and great prospecting potentials.
