A cookeite in Guizhou is a typical clay type lithium ore and was selected as the research object for a study on roasting-leaching experiments. The effects of grinding fineness, roasting temperature, roasting time, leaching temperature, leaching time, oscillation frequency, and liquid-solid ratio on lithium leaching rate were investigated. The results showed that under the conditions of grinding fineness of -0.038 mm accounting for 89 %,sulfuric acid dosage of 0.8 kg/t,roasting temperature of 400 °C,roasting time of 1 h,leaching temperature of 80 °C,leaching time of 1 h,oscillation frequency of 150 r/min,and liquid-solid ratio of 4∶1,the lithium leaching rate reached 97.31 %.The leaching effect was excellent, and this study has significant implications for the development and utilization of the cookeite.
