When underground roadways pass through rock-mineral contact zones, different deformations and failures may occur at both ends of the roadways and on the contact zone due to rock differences on both sides of the contact zone.Taking the 100 m section of the roadways on the rock-mineral contact zone of Duda Lead-Zine Mine as the research subject, numerical simulation using Flac3D software and on-site convergence deformation monitoring were carried out to analyze the stress distribution and deformation of the roadway in the absence of support. The deformation and failure law of the roadways on the rock-mineral contact zone of Duda Lead-Zinc Mine under high horizontal stress was obtained. The study showed that the failure of the roadways on rock-mineral contact zones under high horizontal stress was mainly shear failure, and the deformation and failure of the roadway were fairly obvious in the roof and floor. The shear stress on the rock-mineral contact zone was concentrated, and there were obvious asymmetrical fluctuations in the deformation of the rock on both sides of the ore body. The deformation and failure of the rock on one side of the contact zone were more obvious than those of the ore body. Moreover, the deformation of the two sides of the roadway was smaller than that of the roof and floor. The research results provide a theoretical reference for the support of similar roadways on rock-mineral contact zones under high horizontal stress.
