To investigate the stability of jointed slopes under seismic action,a random joint fracture network model was established using the Monte Carlo method. The discrete element program 3DEC was utilized to conduct a numerical simulation study on the stability of an open-pit mine slope under seismic action. The results indicate that under seismic action, the vibration intensity and displacement at the bottom of the slope are significantly stronger than those at the top.The joint fractures within the slope have a notable attenuating effect on the energy of seismic waves. The bottom of the slope primarily exhibits a shear failure mode, indicating the need to reinforce the seismic resistance of the slope-s bottom structure during routine production.
