Bag filters, known for their high efficiency and adaptability, are widely used. However, practical challenges such as filter bag adhesion, damage at the interfaces, suboptimal dust collection, and cleaning performance, along with the bulky nature of the equipment hindering their mobility in underground metal mines. This study reviews key aspects such as the environmental characteristics of underground metal mines, dust collection materials, improvement techniques, and evaluation standards.Findings suggest that the working environment and dust properties in underground metal mines significantly differ from those in other industrial settings.Future research on dust collection materials should focus on the application of reduced graphene oxide spraying technology to improve PPS(polyphenylene sulfide) materials and the development of new, easily prepared,cost-effective,and reusable bag filter materials tailored for underground metal mines. The overall performance is further enhanced and the evaluation standards for dust collection materials are refined. The study will offer practical solutions for dust control in metal mines.
