In accordance with the specifications for gold content and hazardous element limits in gold jewelry,a standard sample for gold jewelry was developed.The chemical composition of the sample was designed,followed by melting,homogeneity and stability testing,and value determination analysis.A total of 16 sample numbers were established,covering 11 elements including Pb,Cd,etc.The standard values from the value determination analysis range from Au 99.99 % to 37.47 %,Ag 99.99 % to 0.20 %,and Cu 99.99 % to 0.22 %.Other added impurities like Zn,Ni,In,Pd,As,Cr,Pb,and Cd range from 7.93 % to 0.011 %,with Cd’s value being a reference.The standard sample exhibits a rational chemical composition,homogeneity,and good stability,and has been approved as a national standard sample (GSB 04-3651-2019),suitable for the analysis and testing of gold jewelry.
