When arsenic trioxide,the byproduct of high arsenic high sulfur refractory gold concentrates,is recovered in reverberatory furnace,a conventional fire assay smelting equipment,the heat efficiency is poor,and the mechanization and automation level are low.In order to reduce energy consumption and improve automation level as well as economic benefits,Central South Gold Smelting Company optimized and renovated into a technique that distills and purifies arsenic trioxide with fully automatic belt furnace.The production practice shows that the purity of arsenic tri-oxide,the byproduct of gold concentrates smelting,is increased from 96.5 % to 99.0 %,the bulk density is increased from 0.8 t/m3 to 1.8 t/m3;the technique is safe and environment-friendly,the equipment performance is good,the mechanization and automation level is high,and the energy consumption is low,and the application prospects are good.
