The mercury in the carlin type refractory gold ore with high mercury content imposes great impact on CIL,reducing gold recovery rate.Experimental research and production application of mercury fixing were carried out on the carlin type refractory gold ore with high mercury content in Jinfeng mining company.The results show that the mercury fixing techniques such as adding sodium sulfide,pH control and source control of ores with high mercury content by reasonable addition,the effect of mercury on CIL is eliminated,avoiding the phenomenon of mercury-poisoned activated carbon,increasing gold recovery rate in CIL.The gold recovery rate in CIL increases by about 3 percentage points without mercury-poisoned activated carbon.The process can create about 40.98 million yuan/a more profits.
