The Chachalongwabei Polymetallic Deposit is located in Elashan Variscan-Indosinian polymetallic metallogenic belt where many deposits(spots)have been found and the metallogenic conditions are favorable.In the district,6 mineralization zones and 14 ore bodies are delineated.The ore bodies are mainly vein type occurring in Elashan formation strata.NNW and NW faults are the main orecontrolling structures.The fractured alteration zone formed due to fault provides favorable space for the formation of ore bodies.Elashan formation strata,NNW and NW fault and fractured alteration zone,as well as silicification,pyritization,ferritization and sericitization are main geological prospecting indicators.Comprehensive soil anomaly is important geochemical prospecting indicator; the low resistance and highly polarization IP anomaly is important geophysical prospecting indicator.
