Abstract:

The great fluctuations in process indexes of copper and selenium removal from copper anode slime in a mine smelter result in increasing gold and silver content in subsequent alloy smelting slags. The effects of sulfuric acid concentration, reaction temperature, and reaction time on the copper removal from copper anode slime by atmospheric-pressure oxygen leaching were investigated through single factor experiments,as well as the effect of roasting temperature and roasting time on selenium removal by sulfate roasting of anode slime that is removed of copper. The results show that under the conditions of a liquid-solid ratio of 6:1,an oxygen flow rate of 15 m3/h,the sulfuric acid mass concentration of 140 g/L,reaction temperature of 85 ,and reaction time of 28 h,the copper leaching rate from copper anode slime can reach 96.42 % by atmospheric-pressure oxygen leaching, while selenium is basically not leached. The anode slime removed of copper and concentrated sulfuric acid is made into slurry at 11,and the selenium removal rate is over 98.60 % under the conditions of roasting temperature 680  and the roasting time 48 h.Based on optimizing the process conditions, renovation is carried out according to production practice, which solves the problems existing in the process and achieves prominent economic benefits.
