Abstract:

The study uses different technical means to analyze the homogeneity of gold jewelry containing osmium, iridium, and ruthenium, and establishes the determination method for gold content in the gold jewelry with aqua regia insoluble impurities. The sample is pre-treated,dissolved by aqua regia, and filtered, and the filtrate is reduced into gold with hydrazine hydrate;after filtering and washing, the sample is incinerated and weighed;aqua regia dissolves gold, and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry is used to test the impurity elements of silver, copper, zinc, platinum, palladium, osmium, iridium, and ruthenium in gold and the content of gold in the filtrate. The gold content in gold jewelry is obtained by calculation. This method can be used to determine the gold jewelry with aqua regia insoluble impurities mass fraction from 3 % to 32 %.The recovery rate of reference materials is greater than 99 %.The precision of the method is 1.71 %.The test result is reliable.
