Development and application of underground ramp transportation signal automatic control systems in metal mines

Abstract:

Restricted transportation capacity and traffic safety are the main problems encountered during the transportation of underground ramps.Based on the operational characteristics of underground ramps,the paper,in the case study of the ramps of a super-large scale gold mine,developed an underground ramp transportation signal automatic control system.The study precisely locates underground vehicles based on ZigBee wireless communication technology and Radio Frequency Identification technology,uses an optical fiber ring network to transmit information and develops corresponding software control systems,takes vehicle priorities as the control regulations,realizes automatic control of traffic signal light,and thus leads to regulated driving on ramps,improving smooth traffics and vehicle transportation efficiency of ramps,effectively reducing traffic accidents on ramps;at the same time,develops auxiliary functions such as the high-precision location of vehicle and personnel,tracking playback,traffic violation alarming and inquiry,and transportation statistics,effectively improving underground operation commissioning efficiency.The development of underground ramp transportation signal automatic control systems can improve transportation safety and efficiency of metal mines and has significance for theoretical study,practice,and values for promotion and application.
