Abstract:

The gold grade is 2.58 kg/t and the copper grade is 50.85 kg/t in a high copper content gold-loaded carbon.Since adsorption is affected by the high copper content in the gold-loaded carbon, experimental study is carried out with ferric salt method to remove copper and investigates the factors that influence the regeneration of copper removal solutions. The results show that when copper is removed from the high copper content gold-loaded carbon with ferric salt method and the conditions are:liquid-carbon ratio 9∶1,copper removal time 6 h,copper removal temperature 25 ℃,ferric chloride dosage 6 kg/t,sulfuric acid dosage 15 kg/t,the copper removal rate can reach 97.52 % while gold is hardly leached; copper removal solutions are treated by solvent extraction-reverse extraction process, which can achieve the comprehensive recovery of copper. The raffinate can be recycled to copper removal operation after air oxidation and can still obtain a copper removal rate of 97.46 %.
