In mining roadway engineering, the vulnerable broken zone is a typical geological structure, which has an important effect on roadway excavation construction and long-term stability. For the horizontal mine roadway passing through the vulnerable broken zone, the dip angle of the vulnerable broken zone is the key factor affecting whether the roadway can maintain stability. In this paper, taking the horizontal roadway construction project of a mine as the background, using the realistic failure process analysis software RFPA,the numerical simulation of the surrounding rock failure evolution in the dynamic excavation process of the horizontal roadway in the vulnerable broken zones with different dip angles is carried out to study the influence of the vulnerable broken zones with different dip angles on the stability of the roadway. The results show that the vulnerable broken zone has a significant effect on the failure evolution mode of engineering surrounding rock. The influence degrees of vulnerable broken zones with different dip angles on the stability of engineering surrounding rock are different. With the decreasing dip angle of the broken zone, the stability of surrounding rock in roadway engineering decreases gradually.esides, the study put forward corresponding supporting measures based on the geological conditions of the vulnerable broken zone,to realize safe and efficient excavation.
