Determination of Tl in electroformed hard gold jewelry by the Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy

Abstract:

Since Tl may be introduced in the preparation process of 3D hard gold jewelry,it is of great significance to analyze the content of the Tl element in 3D hard gold jewelry.Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy  was used to directly analyze the 3D hard gold jewelry solution after aqua regia dissolution,other pre-operation is not needed.The detection limit of this method for Tl in 3D hard gold jewelry was 2.13 mg/kg,and the quantification limit was 7.08 mg/kg.The contents of Tl in 30 batches of 3D hard gold jewelry samples from the market were analyzed with the method,and it was found that the Tl contents in all samples were not detected but one,which only contained a low content.The establishment of this method can provide references to establish the harmful element T1 detection method in GB/T 28021-2011 Adornment-Determination of baneful elements-Method of spectrometry.
