Abstract:

Liushagou Gold Deposit is located in the Liziyuan gold polymetallic ore field in the southeast of Gansu Province. In this paper, the types, contents, and characteristics of wall rock alterations in the Liushagou Gold Deposit are determined by rock-mineral identification and mineral short-wave infrared spectrum analysis. The alteration types mainly include silicification, pyrite sericitization, clayization, carbonatization, and chloritization.Through the quantitative discussion of the relationship between wall rock alteration and gold mineralization,it is considered that the gold mineralization intensity is positively correlated with the content of altered minerals such as sericite, chlorite, and montmorillonite, and is closely related to the shorter sericite Al-OH wavelength and the higher spectral maturity of illite, which can be used as an effective prospecting marker.
