Mercury pollution,as a global pollution problem,has widely affected people’s lives.With the acceleration of industrialization progress,the adverse effects of mercury pollution are becoming more serious,which makes people pay more and more attention to the research on the remediation methods of mercury pollution.To better grasp the current development status of mercury pollution remediation technology,based on the introduction of the mercury sources in various environmental media (atmosphere,water,and soil) and the various harm caused by mercury to the environment,from 5 aspects,namely physical remediation,chemical remediation,bioremediation,genetic engineering remediation,and nano-remediation,the technical principles and application scenarios of various mercury pollution remediation technologies are described in detail,the advantages and disadvantages of each remediation technology are evaluated,and the future development direction of mercury pollution remediation technology is prospected.
