Abstract:

Gold deposits are widespread in the Xuefeng tectonic belt, which is one of the most important gold-producing areas in China. However, factors controlling gold ores in the tectonic belt have not yet been fully understood. The study of ore-controlling factors is of great significance to the summary of gold metallogenesis and the exploration of gold resources. The ore-controlling factors of gold deposits in the Xuefeng tectonic belt are discussed from the perspective of stratigraphy, tectonics, and magmatism.Based on the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of the gold deposits, the ore-forming mechanism of these deposits is investigated. The results show that tectonics is a necessary condition for gold mineralization, while the Precambrian stratigraphy and regional magmatic activity are only favorable conditions. The gold mineralization of the Xuefeng tectonic belt is concentrated in the Caledonian and Indosinian-Yanshanian periods, which is consistent with the view that the ore-forming fluids originated  mainly from precipitation.Gold deposits in the Xuefeng tectonic belt belong to the metamorphic clastic rock type.
