The Dayingezhuang Gold Deposit is located in the middle section of the Zhaoping fault zone and is a large-scale altered rock-type gold deposit, with the Zhaoping fault zone being the main ore-hosting structure. The Houtuan Mining District is located on the outskirts of the II ore zone of the Dayingezhuang Gold Deposit and is the working area for gamma spectrometry area measurement and deep and peripheral prospecting of the II ore zone. The Houtuan Mining District has experienced extensional fault activity and hydrothermal mineralization during the ore-forming period, leaving behind alteration and anomalies of radioactive elements such as potassium, uranium, and thorium in the host rocks of the Jiaodong Group, providing a basis for gamma spectrometry ore prospecting.Based on the scale, intensity, and combination characteristics of the gamma spectrometry anomalies in the Houtuan Mining District,a total of 8 prospecting targets have been delineated.Among them, the A-1,B-1,B-3,and C-3 prospecting targets have been verified by drilling projects and have successfully discovered gold deposits, achieving significant breakthroughs in deep and peripheral prospecting of the Houtuan Mining District.
