Abstract:

Cangshan Gold Deposit is located in the middle part of the EW tectonic belt in northwest Hunan and the EW Yuanling-Yiyang ore-forming belt of Au,Sb and W.The geological characteristics of the Cangshan Gold Deposit are studied by means of simple geological survey, engineering exposure and sample analysis. The results show that the interlayer fault of Madiyi Formation of Banxi Group is the main ore-bearing strata, and the 4 veins of V2,V1,V4 and V19 are parallel to the EW-NEE direction. The ore types are gold-bearing quartz vein type,gold-bearing quartz(broken) altered slate type and gold-bearing altered breccia type.Based on the comprehensive study of the metal-logenic geological background, the geological characteristics of the mining area and the geological characteristics of the deposit,it is believed that the deposit type belongs to the medium-low temperature tectono-metamorphic hydrothermal type, and the fading, silicification and pyritization of the surrounding rock are important prospecting indicators.
