Abstract:

The reasonable delineation of open-pit mining boundaries is directly related to the economic benefits of a mine, and the process of boundary delineation is highly complex.Based on the mining technical conditions of a mine, the 3DMine software was utilized to establish solid models of the ore body and economic models, and the delineation of open-pit mining boundaries was conducted.Through continuous optimization, the optimal open-pit mining boundary for the mine was determined. The final optimized boundary was selected with a bottom elevation of 1 215 m.Taking into account the influence of the minimum width of the pit bottom and bench slope. The lowest platform height was chosen as 1 245 m.
