Abstract:

Xiangyanggou Gold Deposit is located in the western part of the East Kunlun orogenic belt.In the area, gold deposits such as Dazaohuo Gold Deposit and Heicigou Gold Deposit have been discovered. The ore bodies mainly occur in fracture altered  zones at the contact areas of clastic rocks of different eras or the contact areas of clastic rocks and carbonate rocks of the same era.The fracture altered zones provide transport channels and precipitation sites for ore-bearing fluids. The intersection of faults, the intersection of faults with favorable rock masses and strata, and the expansion areas such as fault turning points are important mineralization areas.1∶10 000 soil geochemical survey delineated 8 comprehensive anomalies and it is believed that the areas with Au maximum value greater than 50.00×10-9 are important geochemical prospecting locations.Based on an in-depth summary of prospecting indicators,a comprehensive geological-geochemical prospecting model was established.6 prospecting target areas were delineated in the Xiangyanggou Gold District, and a total of 17 ore bodies and 37 mineralized bodies were verified, which is a prospecting breakthrough. The ore (mineralized) body is 80-320 m long, with an average actual thickness of 0.82-6.46 m and a gold grade of 1.16×10-6-14.30×10-6.In general, the comprehensive prospecting model applies to Xiang-yanggou Gold Deposit and can provide references for similar deposits in the region.
