The total land damage caused by open-pit mining in the Lannigou Gold Mine is approximately 0.461 km2.Following the principle of adapting to local conditions, ecological restoration and vegetation reconstruction has been implemented in the area from the open-pit mining area to the final boundary line above an elevation of 560 m.The ecological restoration of the open-pit mining area is carried out in different zones, including 3 areas, namely the geological heritage conservation zone, the overburden and vegetation restoration zone, and the natural ecological restoration zone. The main restoration measures include irrigation systems, soil reconstruction, vegetation reconstruction, drainage interception, and plant preservation. At present, the vegetation coverage is above 90 %,and platform plant growth is normal, indicating sustainability. The ecological restoration experience of the Lannigou Gold Mine open-pit mine can provide a reference for ecological restoration projects in the same industry.
