Abstract:

Based on the goal of gold tailings utilization as resources, the preparation of cementitious materials using alkali-melted gold tailings and blast furnace slag as raw materials was experimentally studied. The experiment studied the effect of blast furnace slag content on the solidification time, compressive strength, physical phase composition, and hydration products of the prepared cementitious materials. The results showed that adding blast furnace slag can significantly shorten the solidification time of the material, and increase its compressive strength, and the best effect is achieved when adding 30 % blast furnace slag, with a compressive strength of 14.05 MPa at 28 d.After adding blast furnace slag, the hydration products of alkali-activated cementitious materials mainly consist of calcium silicate  hydrate (CSH) and Na aluminosilicate hydrate (NASH).
