Abstract:

The main valuable element in the cyanide residue of a gold smelting plant in Shandong is iron, with an iron grade of 20.29 %.Iron minerals mainly exist in the form of magnetite, limonite, and fersilicite.Due to the fine particle size of the cyanide residue and the low theoretical iron content of limonite, beneficiation tests were carried out to obtain high-grade iron concentrates as much as possible. The experimental results show that the combined process of weak magnetic roughing-strong magnetic roughing-table cleaning can achieve the recovery and utilization of iron resources. If the weak magnetic concentrate, table middling, and table concentrate are combined, iron concentrates with iron grades of 59.27 % and an iron recovery rate of 48.01 % can be obtained. If the weak magnetic concentrate and table concentrate are combined, iron concentrate with an iron grade of 61.21 % and an iron recovery rate of 46.66 % can be obtained.
