Abstract:

Nyang-wale area is located in the northwestern part of Tanzania, within the Sukumaland greenstone belt to the south of Victoria. The area hosts multiple banded iron formation-type gold deposits, with ore bodies occurring in shear zones within the banded iron formation, exhibiting distinct stratigraphic control characteristics.Through the ana-lysis of the geological characteristics of the discovered deposits, combined with magnetic anomaly features, electrical anomaly features, and soil geochemical characteristics, the prospecting direction of the banded iron formation-type gold deposits in Nyang-wale area was analyzed. It is suggested that, based on the current mining activities, the primary prospecting direction in this area should focus on the search for concealed greenstone areas, followed by integrated development,in order to achieve significant breakthroughs.
