The particle size distribution of native gold in a quartzvein type gold ore from Guangdong is extremely inhomogeneous. The main gold-bearing minerals are pyrite and arsenopyrite.Based on process mineralogy study of the ore, single flotation and gravity separation-flotation joint process are explored, and the influence of regulators and collectors on the separation index is investigated. The results show that single flotation can hardly fully recover gold and coarse elemental gold is left over in the tailings; gravity separation-flotation joint process can obtain satisfactory separation index.Under the conditions that the primary gold ore grade is 4.63 g/t and the reagent regime is optimal, the gold grade in gold concentrates is 123.21 g/t and the gold recovery rate is 95.00 %.
