Safety and environment risks exist in the large amounts of cyanide tailings generated in the production of a gold mine,the total cyanide content of which should be treated below the detection limit(0.04 mg/kg) according to HJ 745-2015 Determination Spectrophotometric Method for Soil Cyanide and Total Cyanide.The paper discussed the decyanation method for cyanide tailings like conventional oxidation method and joint treatment.Among them,the adjusted cyanide slurry+OOT+PAM joint treatment meets the requirement of treatment performance.The optimal treatment parameters are press-filtered cake(water content about 20 %) of cyanide tailings(slurry concentration about 40 %) liquidsolid ratio of adjusted slurry 5∶1,OOT reagent dosage 0.4 g/kgdry ore,PAM dosage 2.0 g/kg,PAM reaction time 2 h.The total cyanide in the filtered residue meets the requirement.
