Abstract:

The extraction of steeply dipping thin ore bodies has long been a significant technical challenge in the mining industry, both domestically and internationally. This study takes the steeply dipping thin ore body at Tugurige Gold Mine as the research subject  and carries out experimental study on the short-hole shrinkage mining method. The preliminary mining cutting, drilling, blasting, ventilation, leveling, ore extraction, and precise scanning and safety management of the mined-out area of the method are discussed in detail.Experimental results indicate that the short-hole shrinkage mining method is entirely feasible for mining steeply dipping thin ore bodies with unstable hanging and foot walls, achieving good technical indicators such as a mining loss rate and ore dilution rate both under 15 % and an ore grade of 3.32 g/t.The findings provide a reference for similar mining conditions.
