Abstract:

The Dahongshilazi Gold Deposit is a newly discovered cryptoexplosive breccia type deposit in western Liaoning.Based on the comprehensive exploration method combining geological, geophysical and geochemical prospecting as well as exploration projects, the cryptoexplosive breccia body that is mineralization alteration zone is discovered and 4 ore bodies are delineated. The ore bodies are controlled by NE fault and ringed fault and hosted in the cryptoexplosive breccia on the contact zone of middle Jurassic Tiaojishan Formation andesite and lower cretaceous Yixian Formation rhyolite. The lower cretaceous Yixian Formation strata, cryptoexplosive breccia,NE fault and ringed fault, rhyolite porphyry, and such wall rock alteration as pyritization, silicification, and carbonatization are major prospecting indicators.Au-Ag-As-Pb-Zn-Cu-Sb-Mo comprehensive soil anomaly is the geochemical indicator; the characteristic of low resistance and high polarization is an important geophysical indicator.Four ore bodies are not sealed in strike or dip and bear potential for further prospecting.Via comprehensive geological prospecting, the deposit scale is expected to reach medium to large scale.
