Abstract:

Combined inco-ferrite process is used for the detoxification of the cyanide tailings from a gold mine, which contains high content of cyanide and heavy metals, and experimental conditions are optimized. The results show that the optimal test parameters are as follows:sodium metabisulfite addition is 15 g/L,copper sulfate catalyst addition is 0.125 g/L,gasliquid ratio is 400∶1,reaction pH value is 7.5-8.0,reaction time is 3 h,ferrous sulfate addition is 15.0 g/L.The concentration of the total cyanide and arsenic in the toxic leach solution from the treated cyanide tailings meets the standards according to HJ 943—2018 Technical Specification for Pollution Control of Cyanide Leaching Residue in Gold Industry.
