Abstract:

The Changbai basalt-covered area of Jilin Province is located in the northeast section of the East Liaoning-South Jilin national key ore belt.A great deal of gold and polymetallic deposits are distributed around the basalt-covered area.A typical skarn type gold deposit—Badaogou Gold Deposit,is discovered in the study area.Based on comprehensive geological characteristics analysis of the area,it is deemed that the study area has prospecting potentials for skarn type gold deposit.Through high precision gravity anomaly characteristics analysis,a gravity-magnetism-electricity-ground comprehensive profile is arranged in the study area and summarized the geophysical characteristics of the comprehensive profile. The distribution of carbonatite and mid-acidity intrusion rock under the basalt-covered layer as well as their contact location is inferred.Comprehensive analysis takes that the gravity-magnetism-electricity-ground comprehensive profile 10110-10280 spot and 11400-11700 spot have prospecting potentials for skarn type gold deposits.Further geophysical work in the study area could lead to prospecting breakthroughs in basalt-covered area.
