Abstract:

The 1∶50 000 stream sediment survey was conducted in the Aohan area,Inner Mongolia. The paper analyzed the geochemical characteristics of the stream sediment based the results,in order to quickly narrow the prospecting range and provide promising target areas.22 comprehensive anomalies were delineated in connection with the ore-forming geological conditions in the research area. The investigation of HS-7 comprehensive anomaly found 2 copper(silver) mineralization bodies. It shows that geochemical survey of stream sediments has good prospecting effect in this area, especially for gold, copper and other minerals.Based on the comprehensive anomaly analysis and investigation,in combination with the regional mineralization and local geological settings,4 potential prospecting areas were delineated including Zhuanshanzi-Guandonggou Au-Cu-Ag area,Huanghuadian-Baituyingzi Mo-Cu area,Shuiquan-Dahuanghutong Fe-Cu-fluorite area,Xiadianzi Cu-Mo area. The results provide reference for future prospecting.
