Located in Jianchang County,Liaoning Province,Wenzhangzi Gold Deposit is a renowned medium gold deposit,and its ore bodies mainly host in fragmented altered rocks and are strictly controlled by fractures.Lithogeochemistry characteristics study indicates the granodiorite in Wenzhangzi Gold District are subalkaline peraluminous high potassium calcium alkaline rock series and are characterized by LREE enrichment,HREE depletion,slight negative Eu anomaly,and no or extremely weak Ce anomaly,enrichment of large-ion lithosphile elements (Rb,K,Ba) and incompatible elements(U,Th),depletion of high field-strength elements (Nb,P,Hf,Zr,Ti) and HREE(Y,Yb,Lu).Granodiorites have similar petrological features of adakite,and their magmas came from crust-mantle mixture origin.The tectonic background is volcanic arc granite tectonic environment,formed in the North China Plate transformation stage from the extrusion tectonic system into the stretching tectonic system stage.The mineralization of Wenzhangzi Gold District experienced three stages:early Yanshanian,middle Yanshanian and late Yanshanian periods.The main mineralization period is the late Yanshanian period,which is related to the intrusion of granodiorite.So Wenzhangzi Gold Deposit is deemed to be an altered rock type gold deposit.
