Nawudong Gold Deposit in Laos is located in the Mojiang-Lifu Late Paleozoic-Early Mesozoic Au-Cu-Pb-Zn metallogenic belt. The ore bodies occur in NE-rending ductile-brittle shear zone and NW-NNW-trending tensional ore-controlling faults. The ore body types mainly include residual laterite type, structural altered rock type and structural fractured belt type. The wall rock alteration mainly include silicification, pyritization, calcilization and secondary ferritization, kaolinization, malachitization and so on.By comparison with the typical deposits in Mojiang-Sanakan area,it is considered that Nawudong Gold Deposit is a hypabyssal medium-low temperature hydrothermal fractured altered rock type gold deposit.Comprehensive analysis thinks there are great prospecting potentials in Ⅳ ore section, along the strike and inclination of the ore bodies found in Ⅱ and Ⅴ ore sections, and the deep part of Ⅰ ore section of Nawudong Gold District.
