A gold refining plant uses cyanidation to treat gold concentrates and generates a large amount of tailings that pollute the environment.In this paper,a new type of horizontal press-ilter is used to filter,press and wash cyanide tailings.And the influencing factors such as  short circuit,washing water ratio,press-filter-wash flow are investigated and finally the optimal conditions are determined.The total cyanide and heavy metal concentration in the toxicity leaching solution of the cyanide tailings after pressing,filtering and washing both meet the requirement of GB 5085.3—2007 Identification Standards for Hazardous Wastes—Identification for Extraction Toxicity,realizing detoxification treatment of cyanide tailings.
