Abstract:

The formation of gold deposit in Northwest Jiaodong is related to large-scale emplacement of intermediate-acidic magmas and hydrothermal activity in Mesozoic. In rock mass-hydrothermal ore-forming system, natural currents are triggered by the temperature difference and oxygen fugacity difference which lead to the key water-rock reaction characterized by electrochemical properties in hydrothermal ore-forming process. The key to gold ore formation is that Au+ generates native gold and other gold minerals under reductive conditions.Due to the mildly acidic reductive conditions, pyrite and quartz-sericite intergrow in beresite. The red wall-rock alterations develop in the Mesozoic granitoid include potash feldspathization, albitization, hematitization, chloritization, rutile and carbonatization, and propylitization alteration develops in metamorphic wall-rock of Jiaodong group. These two types of alterations are formed in oxidative and metaalkalescence conditions with the properties of geoelectric field anodes, and are the source region and the active region of gold ore formation. They build a conjugate reaction system with redox and acid-base properties opposite to each other with beresitization and gold ore bodies, forming a natural electrolysis-ionization system.
