Abstract:

The determination of the industrial index metallic deposits directly affects the morphology of delineated ore bodies, selection of mining methods, mining dilution rate and loss rate, indirectly affects recovery rate of ore dressing, and finally affects the economic benefit of developing the entire deposit. This paper takes Liba Gold Deposit for example, introduces the devising process for the industrial indexes such as the cutoff grade in gold deposit, the lowest industrial grade in ore block, the lowest industrial grade in mining area, the minimal mineable thickness and rejecting thickness of dunn bass, and points that the industrial index is a dynamic standard along with the movement of internal conditions and external circumstances in corporations, the original industrial index can be revised and optimized and the geologic model should be emphasized and promoted.Considering the impact of industrial index changes on the continuity of ore bodies, statistical approach should be adopted in estimating reserves, and dynamic management of reserves and industrial index should be implemented according to the changes of market.
