12 impurity elements in pure gold are determined by photoelectric direct-reading spectrometry. The effects of instrument working conditions such as flush time,pre-ignition time and integration time on the determination of impurity elements were discussed, and the best analysis spectral line for each impurity element was determined. The detection limits of this method are 0.39-1.55 mg/kg,and the precision is 1.40 %-7.44 %.The test results of 4 pure gold samples are consistent with those of ICP-AES,and the accuracy and precision are both good. The method further simplifies the sample pretreatment process, improves the detection efficiency, and is suitable for the determination of large quantities of pure gold samples.
