Abstract:

Deep metal deposit prospecting is an important direction of resource exploration at present, and the geophysical method is one of the most effective methods for deep metal deposit prospecting with deep reach and high resolution. In the case study of Jinchuan Cu-Ni sulfide deposit,on the basis of comprehensive analysis of geological setting and petrophysical properties, the aeromagnetic data are separated in a multiscale way,and the deep part of the southwest part of Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅵ districts is determined to have a good prospecting prospect. The data inversion results of aeromagnetic, gravity and controlled source audio frequency magnetotelluric sounding (CSAMT) survey profiles are comprehensively used to analyze the abnormal features of each method and the geophysical marks of typical ore bodies, the medium-low resistivity, high density and high magnetic anomalous area near the tectonic belt are revealed to be favorable spots for ore prospecting based on the distribution of known typical rock ore bodies. The target area of deep prospecting has been determined on the basis of the characteristics and the target area is estimated to be more than 1 000 meters deep. The study provides important basis for drilling.
