Abstract:

Different consolidation state of different sections in tailings dam influences the stability. This paper takes the tailings dam in Hanzhong,Shaanxi as the research subject, and uses the SLOPE module in Geostudio to pide the tailings dam according to the consolidation degree, and assigns each layer different dry density for modeling analysis, and compares the variation of safety coefficient of tailings dam in different plans. The test results show that the safety factor is smaller in the gradually increasing consolidation degree model than that calculated in the model based on the complete consolidation method, which is more in line with the actual situation;the tailings dam with a smaller overall dry density is more sensitive to the changes of consolidation degree. The research can provide more practical calculation method for tailings dam stability analysis.
