Abstract:

Kuangdonggou Lead-Zinc Deposit is located in the southern margin of the early Proterozoic rift in Eastern Liaoning. In the region, the faults develop, magmatic activities are frequent, and mineral resources are rich, displaying favorable metallogenic geological conditions.Affected by the Quaternary strata and bedrock covering a large area of the surface, there is no significant breakthrough in the prospecting work due to the lack of effective guidance for the geological projects of trenching and drilling in Kuangdonggou Lead-Zinc Deposit.By conducting 1:10 000 soil geochemical survey and analyzing 7 elements, that is Au,Ag,Cu,Pb,Zn,Mo and As,5 comprehensive anomalies are delineated.Based on the geological survey of 5 comprehensive anomalies, the trenching and drilling projects are carried out focusing on the comprehensive anomalies HS-01 and HS-02 with the best prospecting potential, and 17 old lead-zinc mining sites and 4 lead-zinc ore(mineralized) bodies are found.Among them, the estimated ore amount of I-1 lead-zinc ore body found in the comprehensive anomaly HS-01 is 54 300 t,and the amount of lead-zinc metal is 5 297.06 t,indicating a favorable prospecting effect.
