Selection of analytical spectrum lines in the determination of Pt in gold alloy jewelry by ICP-OES

Abstract:

The inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry was employed to measure the Pt in the platinum matrix solution during the testing of gold alloy jewelry.The interference in the platinum matrix solution of the Pt spectrum lines recommended in national standard GB/T 38145—2019 High Content Precious Metals Jewelry Alloys-Determination of Gold,Platinum and Palladium-Difference Method Using Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectroscopy,Thermo IRIS Intrepid II inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometer and PE Optima 8300 inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometer is analyzed.On the basis of spectral line intensity,sensitivity,standard curve correlation coefficient,light intensity value and  interference spectrum line position,the best spectrum line for practical testing the Pt element has been confirmed.
