Abstract:

The Pang’an Gold District is located in the northeast margin of Dachang Gold Field in north Bayan Har Orogen.1∶200 000 stream sediment survey shows that Au,As,Sb have obviously high background compared with adjacent areas; 1∶50 000 stream sediment survey found that Au element anomalies are large in scale and  high in intensity, and are accompanied by anomalies of Mo,Sn,Hg and W.Through 1∶10 000 soil geochemical measurement, the target area of prospecting was narrowed down and  15 soil comprehensive anomalies dominated by Au (AP1-15) were delineated. The anomalies have prominent concentration centers and big gradient change, and the elements fit well. The comprehensive anomalies are controlled dually by the NW fault and the early-middle Triassic Changmahe Formation.Through the verification of AP2 and AP6 soil comprehensive anomalies,4 gold ore bodies were found, the gold reserve is 2.08 t,and the average gold grade is 2.76×10-6.The deposit reaches the scale of small-scale gold deposits, proving that the anomalies are induced by mineralization.Based on the analysis of regional ore-forming geological conditions and comparison of adjacent Dachang Gold District,as well as the soil geochemical measurement,it takes that Pang’an Gold District has favorable prospecting potentials.
