Experimental study on the individual protection cooling suit for deep mine development

Abstract:

Inpidual protection is one of the important techniques in deep mining engineering study.Based on systematic analysis of inpidual protection principles,cooling media,phase-change materials,heat absorption mechanism of PCM cooling suit,the inpidual protection cooling suit for deep mine development is developed and the experimental study on its practicality is conducted.The results show that the test targets wearing cooling suits have lower core temperature,skin temperature and heart rate,and higher working efficiency,and the sensible temperature is lowered by 3 ℃-5 ℃;the cooling effect and sustainability of the cooling suits are the best when phase-change temperature is 20 ℃.
