Abstract:

The N1 ore body of Chambishi Copper Mine is relatively smooth and thin and is mined with room and pillar mining method. In order to recover the ore body in a safe and economic way,the stope structure parameters are optimized. The optimum stope structure parameters are as follows:the width of the first step stope is 8 m,the width and length of the pillars are both 5.0 m,and the spacing between pillars is 3 m.Field industrial tests show the safety factor of the test stope is 1.15 under these stope structure parameters, the ore body is safe and stable in the mining process,no safe production accidents take place such as goaf collapse, ore dilution rate is 10.50 %,ore stoping rate is 74.80 %,and economic profits of the mine is improved.
