Abstract:

A detailed process mineralogy study is conducted on a skarn type gold and copper oxide ore from Kyrgyzstan.Based on that, the leaching test is conducted on copper leaching by sulfuric acid and gold leaching from acid leaching residue by cyanidation,as well as the copper loss status. The results show that the valuable elements in the ore are gold and copper, the gold grade is 1.76 g/t,copper grade is 0.88 %;gold minerals are native gold and electrum, the dissemination status is mainly intergranular gold, accounting for 74.67 %,and the dissemination grain size is dominated by fine and micro gold smaller than 0.037 mm,accounting for 79.95 %;copper minerals are many, dominated by copper oxide minerals;the oxidation rate of ores is 87.50 %.The process of copper leaching by sulfuric acid and gold leaching from acid leaching residue by cyanidation can obtain copper leaching rate 85.84 % and gold leaching rate 95.00 %.The copper loss in the acid leaching residue is mainly the copper in ferric oxide, the gold loss in the leaching residue is mainly the included gold in gangue minerals;the target minerals in the ores have ideal leaching index, and the loss features are consistent with the process mineralogy study results.
